Highly realistic LVT flooring provides durability without compromising style

Iwei Huang, DDS

v

Challenge: In need of additional space for his growing practice and an updated office interior, Dr. Huang called on Key Interiors to assist with space planning, interior design, architectural services, and union construction in a North Michigan Avenue high rise. Our challenge was to create an upscale design office that would appeal to the practice’s professional clientele with additional operatory, lab, and consultation space. Privacy for patient check-out was key, as was utilizing the 9th floor views.

Solution: Working closely with the doctor, Key Interiors created a plan with intentional & dramatic focal points throughout the space. The modern rectilinear reception desk gives way to the open waiting area with dramatic lighting over the lounge. Glass walls bring light into the corridor and reception. Durable LVT flooring gives the look of exotic wood. Operatories were lined along the window wall to maximize views for the patients and allow natural light in the working space, with custom dividers adding contrast and privacy through the open area. Linear wood ceiling accents and pendant lighting add modern warmth.
